Our Philosophy

The Alpha Nu Chapter of Sigma Chi focuses on recruiting the most outstanding leaders, scholars, athletes, and well-rounded men to continue its long tradition of excellence on the Forty Acres. Our founders believed that true brotherhood could prosper only when men of different temperaments, talents, and convictions banded themselves together under a common set of ideals.  It was on this foundation that Sigma Chi began, and the Alpha Nu Chapter has followed this ideal since its founding at the University of Texas in 1884.
